The Choir Project al día [31-VIII-2013]

Music and Monarchy: 4. Re-Inventions.
BBC again -and forever.

Really amazing BBC documentary presented by David Starkey, focused on music and English and political use of the hand of the monarchy.
As usual with BBC programs, the quality of the content is outstanding, and the music used, in fantástic performances by some of the more specialized English ensembles, is one of the best never composed.

The fourth and last episode is dedicated to composers of the nineteenth and twentieth: Gustave Holst, Felix Mendelssohn, Arthur Sullivan, Charles Standford, Walter Parrat, George Clement Martin, Hubert Parry, Edward ElgarWilliam Walton & Ralph Vaughan Williams.

 Enjoy it!
