This piece is actually a work for solo voice and bass continuo, but in this really wonderful chora
l
arrangement set, the ensemble Chanticleer is absolutely fantastic. The
delicate line is played masterfully by these singers, with a wonderful
sound and fascinating clarity and elegance. Special mention to Capriccio
Stravagante, conducted by Skip Sempé, for its refining use the viola da
gamba, triple harp and organ.
Music that invites reflection and introspection.
